Who we are

Website: https://christianmooreanderson.com

Data controller: Christian Moore‑Anderson (Barcelona, Spain)
Contact (privacy): contact.helpful657@passfwd.com

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Website access (server logs)

When you visit this website, our hosting/server may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages requested, and the date/time of access.
Purpose: security, diagnosing technical issues, and ensuring the site works reliably.
Legal basis: legitimate interests in operating and protecting the website.

Visitor statistics (Real Time Traffic)

We use a WordPress plugin called “WP Visitor Statistics (Real Time Traffic)” to understand overall trends in traffic and site usage (for example, visits, browser and operating system information, and approximate visitor location by country via GeoIP). The plugin is described as tracking statistics for the site “without depending on external services,” and it includes features such as IP hashing and automatic pruning of old data.

Data that may be processed for these statistics can include:

  • IP address (which may be hashed depending on settings)
  • Browser and device/operating system information
  • Pages visited and time of visit (traffic/usage metrics)
  • Approximate location by country (GeoIP)

Purpose: measuring and improving site performance and content.
Legal basis: legitimate interests (site measurement and improvement), and consent where cookies or similar tracking technologies are used and required.

Cookies

This site may use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Performance (caching) to deliver pages faster
  • Visitor statistics, depending on configuration of the statistics plugin
  • Basic security/operational purposes

Where required by applicable law, non‑essential cookies (for example, analytics cookies) will only be used after you provide consent via a cookie banner/settings tool, if one is enabled on this site.

Content you provide to us

This website does not allow public comments, visitor accounts/registration, or visitor uploads.

If you contact us by email, we will process the personal data you include (such as your name, email address, and message) in order to respond.
Purpose: handling enquiries.
Legal basis: legitimate interests in responding to messages (and, where applicable, steps prior to entering a contract).

Embedded content from other websites

Pages on this website do not include embedded content from other websites (such as embedded videos, social posts, maps, or widgets).

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share limited data with:

  • Our hosting provider, as necessary to host the website and keep it secure (including normal server logging)
  • Service providers we use to run WordPress, for example for backups and performance, as described below

The visitor statistics plugin we use is described as tracking statistics for the site “without depending on external services.”

Backups and caching

We use:

  • UpdraftPlus to create backups of the website. Backups may include site files and the WordPress database, which can incidentally contain technical data (for example, logs) depending on what is stored on the site at the time of backup.
  • WP Fastest Cache to improve site speed. Caching stores temporary copies of pages/resources to serve them more efficiently.

How long we retain your data

  • Server logs: retained for a limited time according to hosting/server configuration, then deleted or overwritten.
  • Visitor statistics: retained according to the plugin settings. The plugin includes a feature to automatically prune the database of old data.
  • Backups: retained according to our backup retention settings in UpdraftPlus, then deleted or overwritten.

What rights you have over your data (EEA/Spain)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you may have rights including: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability, and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise your rights, contact: contact.helpful657@passfwd.com

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish data protection authority: Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).

Where your data is processed

Your data is processed where the website is hosted and administered. The visitor statistics plugin we use is described as tracking statistics “without depending on external services.” If we add services in the future that process data outside the EEA, we will update this policy and use appropriate safeguards where required.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
